Teeth Whitening Dentist Hickory Hills IL

KOR Deep Bleaching
Teeth Whitening Hickory Hills IL

We are proud to offer a new teeth whitening procedure called KöR Deep Bleaching. Most whitening methods work extremely well in competent professional hands; however, even the best treatments sometimes don’t work on severely stained teeth. An example of this is the staining you may have if you took the antibiotic tetracycline. But now, with the new KöR Deep Bleaching procedure, even these severely stained teeth can go brilliantly white. If you’ve ever been disappointed in the results from other methods, you will be amazed at this new technique.

We also offer custom whitening trays, made in our own lab. You will receive supplies and instructions and you finish the procedure at home. This technique is safe and effective. Results occur within 1 – 14 days.

Dental Sedation Dentistry Hickory Hills IL

Dental Care in a Relaxing Environment

By using sedation dentistry techniques, we have the ability to repair, restore gums, and brighten smiles all in the same appointment! Sedation dentistry allows Dr. Tisoncik to address years of dental neglect in a limited number of appointments. Find out if you are a good candidate for sedation dentistry by contacting Dr. Tisoncik today! We are happy to offer a number of solutions for our patients to make their dental visit as comfortable as possible. Since the medication stays in a patient's system for several hours after the appointment, there are few complaints of pain after procedures are completed.

Sedation dentistry techniques enable patients who might otherwise avoid the dentist to receive dental treatment necessary for a healthy smile. Depending on the extent of the anxiety or phobia, varying degrees of dental sedation can be utilized.

Most patients remember nothing about their treatment. A few will remember a little, usually at the end of the appointment when we are getting them ready to go home. You will need someone to bring you to our office on the day of your sedation appointment and you MUST have someone take you home afterwards.

For safety, we use special monitoring equipment to monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen level throughout your entire procedure. You’ll be done before you know it, completely unaware of the time passing, and totally relaxed.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous oxide sedation, also known as “laughing gas,” is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable. This sedation is inhaled through a mask that allows you to breathe in the medication, and induces a state of relaxation. Local anesthetic will be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide to eliminate pain.

Oral Sedatives
This medication can be given to a patient the night before a dentistry procedure or 30 minutes to an hour prior to the dental appointment, depending on the severity of the anxiety. Oral sedatives do not provide pain relief, so an injection of local anesthetic will also be administered.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation
IV sedation provides relaxation medication through a small needle inserted in your hand or arm. Like oral sedatives, IV sedation does not provide pain relief, so a local anesthetic will also be administered. Dr. Tisoncik has received specialized advanced training and certification in IV sedation from the anesthesiology program at the University of Southern California. The best advantage of IV sedation is that if someone is not sedated enough, Dr. Tisoncik can administer more medication, and the effects are instantaneous. The drugs used for IV sedation are more effective than the same drugs taken orally. With intravenous sedation, you will feel like you slept through your entire dental procedure.
