Although many practices still use silver-mercury amalgam
fillings, we use only composite resin restorations.
Amalgam fillings have certain shortcomings. They do not
adhere well to teeth, letting decay grow under the
filling. A dark plug in light teeth is very noticeable
and not aesthetically pleasing for most people. Our
modern restorations blend in with the shade of your
tooth and actually add strength to its structure. They
create a tight bond with the remaining part of the
tooth, so the chance of decay is minimized.
